School Holiday Programs

Train with Queensland Ballet Academy during your school holidays!

We offer a number of opportunities throughout the year for young dancers to progress their training over each school holiday break. You will work with our esteemed Faculty, meet other young dancers, and work in a culture of collaboration and excellence. These programs are open to all dancers!

New Financial Hardship Bursary

In response to the ongoing impacts of the pandemic and the recent flooding which has devastated many parts of Queensland and New South Wales, the Academy has created new Bursaries. These are aimed at supporting dancers who wish to attend the upcoming School Holiday Programs, but are experiencing financial hardship.

Bursaries offer successful applicants a 50% fee waiver. Applications are now open for Winter School participants, and will close on Friday 10 June 2022.

Training event testimonial

"Definitely attend! It’s an amazing experience. Be prepared to work hard and have fun: it’s really inspiring and motivating, and you’ll walk away not only a better dancer but with so many new ideas and new friends."

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and perform. Long before we performed on this land, it played host to the dance expression of our First Peoples. We pay our respects to their Elders — past, present and emerging — and acknowledge the valuable contribution they have made and continue to make to the cultural landscape of this country.
